Weekly Litter Pick – One of our ongoing events since 2010 is the weekly litter pick in Brook Park, off Brook Way. Officially known by it’s municipal sounding name of St Paul’s Cray Recreation Ground….but more locally known as the Brook or now Brook Park. A rota of two teams of volunteers undertake to clear the park of litter each week meeting at 9am in Brook Way (off Sevenoaks Way) and generally finishing around 10.30am.
Diamond Jubilee Street Party – 2012 – A great day was enjoyed by all to celebrate the Queen’s 60 years on the throne. With food, drinks and party games, the residents and friends of the association held the street party in Normanhurst Road. A professional DJ was present and we even had a Pearly King & Queen along for the day.
Duck Race & Picnic In The Park – 2011 – A successful day of fun in the local Brook Park which saw Yellow Ducks floating down the river in the centre of the park competing for a podium place and raising money for charity. A series of four races were held during the afternoon, there was also a fruit kebab stall and residents came out on a glorious day to enjoy the park.
Fireworks Night – 2011 – The Association put on a private fireworks night in the beer garden of the Bull Inn on Main Road for members and patrons of the pub. Toasted marshmellows made the night perfect and a raffle saw more money raised for charity and the Association.
